Sitting pretty on the South-East coast of India is Andhra Pradesh – a land of hills, valleys, waterfalls, beaches and more. While the state is hot and humid most of the year, October to February is considered the best time to visit when the temperatures remain at about 16 degrees Celsius. We are giving you a seasonal guide to visit Andhra Pradesh so you can plan your trip well in advance.

Monsoon: June to September

When raindrops fall on hills and coasts of Andhra Pradesh, temperatures drop from 40 degrees Celsius of summer to 25 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius. Araku Valley, Horsely Hills, a hill station in Chittor, Mallama Temple and Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary if you are interested in nature and photography, or the 70-feet high river waterfall Ethipothala Falls are some cool spots for a fun monsoon getaway. There is enough of nature’s bounty for a monsoon vacation where you can experience the state in its greenest time.

Winter: November to February

Temperatures during these months are a pleasant 16 degrees Celsius which is perfect for a day of sight-seeing. It’s not scorching hot and you can easily pack in a lot in one day as you traverse Andhra Pradesh’s heritage sites like Lepakshi Temple, Amaravati, Gandikota Fort and gorge, temples of Tirupati or the long coastline of Visakhapatnam dotted with several beaches where you can simply watch the sun go down or get an adrenalin rush with water sports and beach hikes.
